This week’s First Call Follows highlights team member Andi Bernal (@andi_bernal8.) Here are a few of her Twitter must-follows, and why:
Anne Thompson (@akstanwyck), Variety blogger and USC professor doles out Hollywood film gossip and news with a quick and smart approach. Her industry intelligence is trusted, respected, and served with just the right amount of juice. Fun follow to know what’s happing in the neighborhood with a good dose of industry opinion.
SpoilerTV (@SpoilerTV), they’ve got the inside scoop on television and production news. SpoilerTV is a great resource for projected film and show release dates, actor interviews, and just-released promos and trailers. They’re good at announcing ratings and give a nice sense of what new programs and films are on the brink of stardom- the exact information that we follow on the daily.
Steve Martin (@SteveMartinToGo), my favorite celebrity has to make my list. He’s hilarious and uses Twitter as a platform for comedy in a way that I think is brilliant. Whether his primates pets take over his account or he makes cheeky/cheesy cultural observations, he’s one comedian who continually performs in social media.
Free People (@FreePeople), a lovely brand that shares stunning words, photos, and ideas to inspire anyone to find and use their creative side every day. In Los Angeles, it’s easy to be a follower to what’s cool now, be it in fashion or a PR program, but with a little creative inspiration I love to think that we can produce something truly unique for each client. And fp has gorgeous shoes.
Bill Simmons (@sportsguy33), sports columnist, author, and podcast host for Grantland (@Grantland33—another one of my must-follows for, in my opinion, the best sports/entertainment writing on the web). He has entertaining commentary and inside opinions on everything sports. When a busy workday doesn’t allow for the verbose Grandland.com read, Simmons is an easy sub-in.
