London 2012

Gillette signed 24 athletes to represent them at the 2012 Olympic Games including US sprinter Tyson Gay, US swimmer Ryan Lochte, Swiss tennis superstar Roger Federer and Russian swimmer Nikita Lobintsev. Omega, an official IOC sponsor, has tapped longtime endorsee Michael Phelps, Tyson Gay and Jenn Suhr to star in ad spots around the games. Proctor & Gamble announced that it signed US gymnast Alicia Sarcramone to endorse their beauty product brands. Sacramone will also appear in the brand’s “Thank You, Mom” campaign. Additionally, Sacramone endorses Visa, Under Armour and Gatorade. P&G has also tapped legendary on-screen mom Florence Henderson as a spokesperson for their “Thank You, Mom” campaign. On the heels of her announcement that she had Type II diabetes, Paula Deen also shared a new partnership with pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk where she will share “simple ways” to manage the disease on a new section of their website entitled “Diabetes in a New Light.” Kraft Wheat Thins launched a new TV and digital campaign featuring Stewie and Brian from FOX’s Family Guy. The theme of the campaign is “do what you do,” inspired by a call to action on the brand’s Facebook page. “Hungry Girl” Lisa Lillien and Tyson Foods teamed up to coach women through a 30 day program geared toward encouraging healthy eating and balance lifestyle. DiGiorno is once again partnering with comedian Jay Mohr, who along with the Not Delivery Guys, will raise funds for Feeding America while challenging media, players and fans to a live game of “flick” football in preparation for the Super Bowl. Golfer Matt Kuchar signed with Grey Goose as the official spokesperson of their golf program, another consumer activation platform for the brand. Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton teamed up with Lean Pockets as part of their “Live Famously” campaign, in which the brand is offering consumers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Hollywood like an A-lister. SoBe Lifewater tapped “Chuck” actress Yvonne Strahovski as the latest “skinsuit” model to launch their new SoBe Lifewater with Coconut water.
