Our focus will be about partnerships between celebrities + brands. We'll dig into specific deals and debate the merits of each program. We'll like some and have recommendations for others.
Welcome to our "all things" celebrity section. Expect questions and answer sessions with relevant talent, dialogue about who's hot/not and discussions about who brands should pay attention to.
We'll share news about upcoming celebrity appearances on national talk shows. Expect commentary on what they are promoting and why they are doing so every Monday morning.
Twitter is more than typing 140 characters. It is an incredible resource to engage with targeted people and to read (and learn) what experts are sharing. We'll focus on these experts on a regular basis.
Quite candidly, we needed a section that has flexibility as not all of our posts will fit in the other buckets. This may be the dark horse section of the blog. Look for unique takes on current events and ideas here.
We'll share tips, trends and insight for readers to enjoy - focusing on marketing principles as it relates to celebrity use. We're excited to see your comments on our thinking too.
We are often asked by the media, bloggers and conferences to discuss and provide opinions on celebrities, brands and the industry. Expect to see these stories, video clips and audio interviews.
Our team helps brands, their agencies and nonprofit organizations by assessing the business value of celebrities, negotiating smart partnerships and activating each program. We provide fast and accurate information and recommend talent based on many factors including their relevance, points of differentiation and cost. The results of our work are seen as television commercials, webisodes, publicity programs, YouTube posts, celebrity seeding, social media » Read More
Last night NBC aired Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl, which featured Mary Tyler Moore, President Obama, Tina Fey and William Shatner, among others, wishing her the best. The special, followed by the new reality show Betty White’sOff Their Rockers (which features senior citizens plays pranks on young people), shows once again the power of Betty White.
We’ve written about her resurgent success before, and wanted to take a look back on her brand partnerships:
- In 2010, White appeared in the infamous Snickers Super Bowl commercial which catapulted her back into the public eye and later that year promoted the Dorito’s Super Bowl Ad contest.
- In 2011, White released a new video for The Lifeline Program, a life insurance settelment program, also featuring singer Luciana:
- Also in 2011, the 90 year old partnered with AARP for their “Get Over It!” Campaign. She is also featured prominently on their website (with her own fan club too).
Additionally, White has inked two books and released a clothing line in collaboration with HoodieBuddie. She stars on the hit show Hot in Cleveland and has made guest appearances on everything from 30 Rock to The Middle. Fittingly, White recently came in first in a survey of retirees as the #1 role model amongst high profile senior citizens.
Even at 90, we don’t expect White to slow down. Her sharp sense of humor and lovable personality make her a brand favorite. Happy birthday, Betty!
